چکیده
This work studied protective material consisting of several metal oxide composites (Pb3O4, WO3, SnO2, and Bi2O3)-natural rubber (NR) for X-ray gamma-ray shielding. The were prepared through open milling vulcanization processes further characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), diffraction (XRD), rheometry analysis, density gauge. attenuation coefficient the sample was investigated using generators with voltages ranging from 50 to 140 kV energies 356 1250 keV, respectively. experimental results show that linear NR filled oxides significantly improved compared pure NR. For 661 HVL decreased 9.0 cm between 4.4 - 6.2 after it oxides. Bi2O3-NR is best suitable attenuation, followed Pb3O4-NR, WO3-NR, SnO2-NR. Meanwhile, x-rays, 2.0 0.17 -0.31 proposed oxide-NR can be appropriate as a flexible manufacturing wearable radiation shielding products such gloves, aprons, underwear, other materials.

Background: Polymer composites when reinforced with heavy metals in the form of micro/nano particles are efficient gamma- and X-ray shielding materials providing such advantageous features as cost-effectiveness, light-weight factor, flexibility, non-toxicity, conformability over conventional shields. Materials and Methods: In this paper the influence of weight percentages and particle sizes of ...
متن کاملShielding of Gamma Radiation
In the discussion that follows, we assume that gamma rays are the radiation of interest. The principles discussed also apply to monoenergetic x rays; in many cases of concern in x-ray shielding, however, the photons are produced in the bremsstrahlung process that yields a wide and continuous distribution of photon energies. Specialized shielding approaches have been developed to carry out shiel...
